Chamblee will remain a sleepy town unless you guys in that city hall make it easier for businesses to come in here. There is one restaurant, the pizza place and the Chamblee Bistro. I am tired of those places and one of them isn't even good. I see there are two coming the Union HIll restaurant and the south Rails. One has a really good celebrity chef from CNN international and Food network and a pretty good chef from Holman & Finch.. When will those open? The one has been sitting there for 5 months and the other sitting there for 11 months. There is really nothing to do here at night except leave and hang in buckhead. It is very frustrating. It is just as expensive to live here as it is to live in buckhead but with no where to go at night. What other night life are you planning on coming here? -D

The Clairmont Terrace/Shalimar Drive neighborhood needs speed humps badly. We have a lot of runners, dog walkers and stroller pushers and consistently have vehicles driving well over the speed limit in our neighborhood. To amplify this issue there are many cars parked on the street so in most cases the drive cannot just move to the other side of the road.
Speed humps would be a huge help.

Partial sidewalks mean walkers, bikers, strollers, etc. have to cross street several times to stay on a sidewalk. There are also several lengths of sidewalk that are broken, uneven, or overgrown. There is about a 50 yard length south of Fischer Mansion that has no sidewalk on either side of street. I have to sprint with 2 children in a stroller to make this section before a new wave of cars comes. Cars pass me anyway, which is extremely dangerous. By my estimation there is plenty of room to lay a nice, wide sidewalk on at least one side of the street.

Encouraging that Dresden Park is now a Chamblee Park. It would be great to have nearby tennis courts available-- there are few public courts in Chamblee and none on the eastern side of the city.

It would be nice to have or know the status of making Chamblee a fiber-friendly community.

Could we please have more, and better, playground equipment in the Huntley Hills Park? It would be nice if our kids had a few more options.
