On August 13, 2014 members of the Chamblee Police Department responded to the Peachtree Plaza Apartments located at 5349 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee regarding a child struck by a vehicle.

According to witnesses, the 4 year old child was playing in the parking lot of the apartment complex and was struck by a vehicle attempting to back up. The child was transported to Scottish Rite and is listed in stable condition. Prior to being transported, the child was conscious and alert. No criminal charges are anticipated.
