Mayor Clarkson Named to Board

City of Chamblee Mayor Eric Clarkson recently was named to the Inspire Aviation Foundation (IAF) Board of Directors.

The non-profit foundation’s mission is the development, funding and fruition of an air and space museum and educational complex at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK). In the pursuit of this goal, the organization will promote aerospace education, further aviation objectives, preserve aviation history and support the community surrounding PDK.

“I am looking forward to working with these great individuals on this exciting opportunity,” said Chamblee Mayor Clarkson. “We are fortunate to have this coming to PDK as it will add another dimension to our incredible aviation community.”

Mayor Clarkson joins four new board members including: 

  • Lamar Wakefield, AIA and Principal at the architectural firm Nelson Worldwide
  • Eric Johnson, President of Comprehensive Program Services,  
  • Jeanine Chambers, Executive Director of Angel Flight Soars 
  • Doug Towns, Vice President & General Counsel at Guardian Pharmacy

The new members join Inspire’s President, Jay Bess; Vice President, Mario A. Evans; Treasurer, Moreno Aguiari; Secretary, Latessa Meader; and members, Dorian DeBarr, John Kelley, Manomay Malathip, Ed Nelson and James Tsismanakis.
