Chamblee officials announced that the City will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” April 17-23. The City will be holding a variety of events throughout the week, including a community clean-up, geo-caching contest, a book drive and family field day. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Go To Town,” showing the importance of a central gathering place for people and communities.
This is the 17th year Georgia Cities Week has been celebrated in the state and the second year the City of Chamblee has participated.
Cities across Georgia will be celebrating Georgia Cities Week, coordinated by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and celebrate cities and the many services they provide. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, employee benefit and consulting services to its 521 member cities.
