City offices are open to the public

Georgia currently maintains no “shelter in place orders,” and the Public Health State of Emergency has expired for the State of Georgia.

Residents and city staff are strongly encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccine and booster. All residents aged 12 and over are eligible to receive COIVD-19 vaccinations and boosters. Information from the Georgia Department of Public Health regarding vaccination distribution is available here.

City staff has returned to a rotational in-office schedule. Beginning Tuesday, January 4, staff will work in-office two days a week and rotate on Fridays until January 28 and when not in-office, staff members will be available remotely. On Monday, January 30 city staff will return to work in-office full time.

The City of Chamblee follows Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines and is reinstituting the following workplace measures until further notice:

- City Hall will be open to the public Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm to receive mail, deliveries, and drop-off information/documents. All other visitors must be by appointment only.
- Visitors are not allowed on property without appointment; visitors are not allowed in cubical workspaces, must wear face masks, and must maintain social distancing while on property.
- All employees are required to wear facemasks and socially distance when in the building or on property, and no more than 19 employees are allowed in the building at any one time.
- All employees are provided individual laptops, printers, phones, and commonly shared objects.
- All employees are provided individual PPE supplies including facemasks, hand sanitizer, gloves, trash bags, tissues, sanitizing wipes, and other sanitary products.
- Work and common spaces are professionally cleaned every other day and sanitized weekly.
- To the extent possible, meetings are limited to 5 participants in a 25-person conference room with facemask and social distancing requirements enforced.
- Meetings of more than 10 participants are either hosted virtually, in large capacity conference rooms, or outdoors with facemask and social distancing requirements enforced.
- Workspaces are arranged to optimize the distance between employees; computer stations are located approximately 8 ft apart; workstations are located approximately 7 ft from a centralized walkway.
- Employees are required to immediately notify their supervisor and quarantine at home upon testing positive for, or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19; all quarantined employees are required to comply with CDC quarantine and testing guidelines before returning to the workplace.
