Responsibilities of the Investigative Division

The Investigative Division is commanded by a captain and staffed with a sergeant and three investigators. They are responsible for follow-up investigations on crimes reported as well as initiating investigations into criminal activity. They are also responsible for the following:

• Child abuse / neglect investigations
• Drug investigations
• Crime scene processing and evidence collection
• Property and evidence management
• Police applicant background investigations
• Internal affairs investigations
• Alcohol license clearance and enforcement
