Chamblee 101 is an eight-week program designed to educate residents and business owners on how our city’s government works, who’s responsible for what and what steps you can take to make a difference. It includes discussions and interactive activities. Chamblee 101 is a Mayor and City Council initiative that started in September of 2004.
The Class is designed to increase the number of informed and involved residents. This yearly class gives residents and business owners the opportunity to learn more about local government and how the city operates. This popular series includes discussion and interactive activities on topics that include, finance development, policing and public works. Classes include:

  • Introduction with the Mayor and City Manager
  • Finance and Economic Development
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Police, 911 and Court
  • Development and Economic Development
  • Public Works
